No. Using defects.sg is free for your clients, now and later: searching, logging defects and keeping their record. Renovation firms pay per project, and other businesses pay for the tooling.

No. A grade can only be computed from the record, and a firm or renovator cannot buy a position, a badge or a slot at any price. Search returns matches to what you typed, in no sponsored order. The one paid placement on this site, a labelled seat in the defect-checker list, sits outside the registry, and checkers carry no grade.

You stop being able to accept new projects and you lose the firm tooling. Your grade stays published either way, so no firm can remove its grade by leaving.

No. Add as many renovators as you have. We charge per project, never per head. Charging per seat would push firms to share logins, and a shared login destroys the record of who did what.

A project is billed once, when a client’s request is accepted and the project details are complete. Never twice for the same project, and never for one that doesn’t start. We send you one statement each month, so a busy month is one document rather than eleven. Firms that join during the pilot have the sign-up fee waived; the per-project fee is the same for every firm.

Yes. Buy credits from your admin console: one invoice for a pack of projects, paid by bank transfer or PayNow. Each project your client adds you to then uses one credit instead of going on the monthly invoice. Credits don’t expire.

You can respond on any defect. The client sees your response, the public never does. You can never edit or delete what they wrote. The project basics they entered are visible to you, and if one of them is wrong, write to us. We correct errors of fact.

Subcontractors change from project to project, so a company-level grade would attribute work to an entity that didn’t do it and won’t do the next one. What we keep is the record on each development: what was reported, and what was done about it.
